PUELLES CRIANZA
BODEGAS PUELLESPUELLES CRIANZA | BODEGAS PUELLES
It adapts to any plan and sympathizes with everyone. That’s our Crianza: suitable for any situation and company.
The nuances that it gains after aging for 12 months in French and American oak barrels settle and improve as time passes in the bottle. Its notes of liquorice and its spicy touch make it complex but at the same time, it’s an easy to drink wine and ideal for day to day. It sure makes you feel good.

BODEGAS PUELLES
We are a family winery with many generations making wine in a small privileged area: Ábalos (Rioja Alta).
The Puelles Family has been living in Ábalos since longer than anyone can remember and its winemaking tradition goes back just as far.
Felix and Jesus, the Puelles brothers, acquired the Molino plantation in 1844 and moved in 1985 to this enclave to build their home and their dream: Bodegas Puelles. The winery is surrounded by vineyards, protected by the mountains and next to the old 17th century mill.
Ábalos has one of the best wine-growing areas in the world. The soils on which the vines grow are clay-limestone, optimal for growing grapes. Tempranillo variety has been the one with the highest production. Our vineyards extend from heights of 450 to 630m of altitude and all of them are located a few kilometers away from our winery.
In Bodegas Puelles we believe that great wines begin in the vineyard. We take care of and work a sustainable crop, with ecological viticultural practices that respect the environment and provide more quality to the grape, without chemical fertilization or herbicides, with treatments that are reduced to those strictly necessary.
We also believe that great wines are a reflection of their origin. The wines that we make at Bodegas Puelles have, what we call “sense of terrorir”, that relationship of soil, microclimate, variety and centuries of making an area eternally linked to vine and wine.
Wine Tourism
Shortly after settling in the Molino (back in 1990), we opened our facilities to tourism and began to show visitors how we make wine and take care of the land.To this day and in our privileged environment, we continue to welcome visitors from all over the world with open arms, transmitting to them the passion with which we work and experience the wine world.
